Mark Anthony Sánchez graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1995 and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Sánchez serves as general counsel to public sector clients and provides advice on a wide variety of legal issues involving human resources open government, procurement, policy development and contracts. He also advises private and public sector Clients on specific labor and employment law issues, civil and constitutional rights.

Mr. Sánchez has represented Clients in real estate transactions and disputes, including the purchase and sale of real estate, condemnation proceedings, and governmental entity investment projects such as tax credit based real estate developments.

Mr. Sánchez is licensed by the State Bar of Texas to practice in all Texas courts, in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a standing member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Sánchez is also a member of the National Association of School Board’s Council of School Attorneys and the Texas Association of School Board’s Council of School Attorneys.

As a litigator, Mr. Sánchez has represented individual, private, and public sector clients in state and federal courts with respect to hiring, promotion, and termination decisions; disputes involving equal employment opportunity statutes, rules and regulations; constitutional and civil rights claims; and a variety of other workplace issues. He has also represented clients in appellate proceedings before Texas appellate courts, the Texas Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Sánchez is a licensed mediator.

He also volunteers on the San Antonio Subcommittee of the Unauthorized Practice of Law, in the State Bar of Texas - Labor and Employment Law Section, in the State Bar of Texas — School Law Section, and on Pro Bono Appointments Committee In the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Mr. Sánchez is actively involved at the St. John Bosco Catholic Elementary School, with the Boy Scouts of America as a Den Leader, the Catholic Youth Organization — Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas, the Coastal Conservation Association — San Antonio Chapter, the Texas Exes Alumni Association of the University of Texas at Austin, the St. Mary’s Law Alumni Association, and Bike Texas.

Mr. Sánchez is conversant in Spanish, which helps the Firm in representing its Spanish-speaking Clients.
